The 9CC Group

Nine community councils.
One powerful vision.

Who we are

The 9CC Group is made up of nine communities in Cumnock and Doon Valley area.

We are dedicated to making sure YOU can access the multi-million pound community benefit funds generated from local wind farm developments.

Want to secure funding for your community project?

How do we do this?

Every year, we receive community benefit payments from local wind farm developments. Our job is to allocate that money to projects and initiatives that improve your lives and enrich your communities.

We listened to local community groups to find out what’s important to you.

Our communities are proud of our heritage and beautiful countryside environments., with a strong sense of community spirit.

You told us what you need; we listened.

What we’ll achieve

Our goal is to improve the lives of local people in our communities with wind farm community benefits. We’ll invest these funds into projects that are important to you and your communities.

We created our strategic plan in collaboration with our communities. It covers five themes based on local needs that are important to you.

  • We’ll create outdoor activity attractions that’ll benefit both locals and visitors from around Scotland.

  • We’ll generate jobs, with a focus on green jobs and opportunities for young people, and create centres that celebrate local heritage.

  • We’ll improve transport links, as well as phone and internet connectivity, around our communities.

  • We’ll embed renewable energy in our homes and our community assets.

  • We’ll set up facilities, projects and services for young people that allow them to enjoy recreational activities, develop skills and become entrepreneurs.
